I was impressed with MV’s football opener

The Mountain View Cougars look like an improved football team in 2016. I watched their 20-19 win over South Albany on Friday night and I liked what I saw. Last year Mountain View was just 1-8 on the season, while South Albany went 6-4 and was a playoff team.

Quarterback Caden Cromwell, just a sophomore throws a good looking deep ball and also scrambles well.

The Cougars have some solid running backs in Spencer Klein, a 5-foot-9, 201-pound senior and Jordan Bell, who at 5-10 145 seems to really make defenders miss.

I’m predicting a winning record for Mountain View this season. Fifth-year head coach Brian Crum looks like he has them headed back to the team they were a few years ago.
