5A Top 10 games this week (my picks)

Here’s a look at the matchups featuring the top 10 teams in the state. And my picks to win.
Oregonlive Oregon 5A football poll
1 Silverton @ Crescent Valley
Silverton has been rolling all season outscoring their opponents 116-19. They face a CV team who just lost at Corvallis 41-34 in a Mid-Willamaette Conference game for both teams. I’m picking Silverton to go into the playoffs with an unbeaten record.
PICK – Silverton

2 Ashland (3-0) vs Ridgeview (2-1)
Ashland handed Summit it’s first loss of the season last week, now they take on a Ridgeview team that is coming off a 61-51 win in which quarterback Jacob Johnson threw for a state-record eight touchdown passes. The Ashland secondary looked great against the Storm and quarterback John Bledsoe, so I’d be surprised if the Ravens are able to throw the ball around the field the way they did last week.
PICK – Ashaland

3 Mountain View (3-0) @ 6 Springfield (2-1)
The Cougars have got some big weapons and their have a big test this week. A win for Mountain View would put them at 4-0 going into Intermountain Conference play. Both MV and Springfield were playoff teams last year.
PICK – Mountain View

4 (tie) Hermiston vs Lewiston (ID) (1-3)
The Bulldogs just handed Springfield their first loss of the season. Hermiston plays an interesting schedule this year, with two games against Washington teams and two games against Idaho teams. Lewiston is coming off a close 21-19 loss to Clarkston (WA).
PICK – Hermiston

4 (tie) Parkrose (3-0) vs 10 Sandy (2-1)
Sandy is coming off a loss to Liberty (2-1), while Parkrose was a 38-7 winner over Milwaukie (0-3). The Broncos are averaging over 50 points per game.
PICK – Parkrose

6 Springfield (2-1) vs 3 Mountain View (3-0)
See above.
PICK – Mountain View

7 Hillsboro (3-0) vs St. Helens (0-3)
No Colt Lyerla on the field for Hillsboro… that was a few years ago, but the Spartans are off to a 3-0 start and dropped 51 points on La Salle (1-2) last week. St. Helens is giving up 48 points per game this season.
PICK – Hillsboro

8 (tie) Redmond (3-0) @ Hood River Valley (1-2)
Redmond joins the top 10 after three dominating wins. The Panthers are the leading scoring team in the state and could put up big numbers against a Hood River team allowed 61 points to Ridgeview last week. Hood River is the first team Redmond has played this year that has won a game.
PICK – Redmond

8 (tie) Central (2-1) vs Dallas (1-2)
Central’s only loss this year was 46-30 to No. 3 Mountain View. They started of the year with a 46-34 win of Bend and found their way back into the top 10 with a 32-15 victory @ South Albany last week. Dallas is coming off
PICK – Central

10 Sandy @ 4 Parkrose
See above.
PICK – Parkrose

Summit dropped out of the top 10 this week after their 35-14 loss to No. 2 Ashland. They should get back to their winning ways with a trip to The Dalles (0-3).
PICK – Summit
