5A high school football poll

Here’s the Oregonian’s Oregon 5A high school football poll after week 2.
1 Silverton – Still on top after a commanding 34-13 win over Marist.
2 Ashland – @ Summit Friday should tell us something. Ashland and Silverton are the top-two returning 5A teams in the state.
3 Mountain View – The IMC team looks to make another deep playoff run. Always at or near the top of Central Oregon, the Cougars could be title contenders this year. They play Crater, who is coming off a loss to a Californian team.
4 Parkrose – @ Milwaukie this week, then things get tough. Sandy, Hillsboro and Wilsonville in league play still to come.
5 Springfield – 1 point winner over Willamette, 20 point winner over Thurston. Next @ Hermiston.
6 Hermiston – Always tough Bulldogs host No. 5 Springfield in a big game.
7 Marist – One of the only teams in 5A with a state football title under their belt since reclassification, but it came as a 4A team.
8 Sandy – New to the top 10. Have scored just 21 points combined in two tough wins. Should score more than that against Liberty on Friday.
9 South Albany – They handled Ridgeview 27-7. No longer living in the shadows of West Albany, which moved up to 6A, could South make a run this year?
10 Summit – The No. 10 Storm have a great opportunity this week as they host No. 2 Ashland. Lots of speed and weapons, but do the Storm have the size to compete with the best in 5A?
