With all of the Storm’s success, you may be surprised to know that Summit has never won a conference boys basketball championship. That could change this week, as a win over Bend High on Friday would give No. 5 Summit (17-2) the league crown.

Summit has had some great seasons at the state tournament (3rd in 2016, the quarterfinals in 2015, 6th in 2010) but have never been able to reach the top of the league standings, mainly because of Mountain View’s boys basketball dominance over the past decade.

If Summit, under head coach Jon Frazier, wins a league championship for the first time in its 16 year history, don’t be surprised to see them make another deep run in the state tournament as well.
