I’m so excited to let everyone know that I’m shooting a documentary on the highly addictive and incredibly fast-growing sport of pickleball. You can follow the project here.

This is such an exciting project, as the sport of pickleball is so unique and it’s rare to be able to be a part of something that is so early in it’s growth. Pickleball fundraiser this Sunday (4-19-2015)

This Sunday come on out to the Pine Nursery Park in Bend and play some Pickleball to support the Summit boys tennis team.

More pickleball courts coming to Bend thanks to large donation

Eight additional pickleball courts are going to be built at the Pine Nursery Park in Bend, to give the facility 16 courts in a single location. The goal is to have them completed by June of 2015 in time for the Oregon Senior Games.

According to the Bend Pickleball Club:

“The donors, a married couple, are donating up to $250,000 to complete this project. The donors have chosen to remain anonymous at this time, but are among our most active members, and were honored at our Bend Pickleball Club General Meeting on July 8, 2014. We are hopeful that Bend Parks and Recreation District will also be able to help with shade structures, storage sheds, and other improvements necessary to run a large community pickleball program.”

Pickleball is getting big in Bend

The eight pickleball courts @ the Pine Nursery park in Bend are one of the signs that PB is blowing up in Bend. Another sign is that those courts are getting used a lot and that the Big Country RV Bend Pickleball Tournament in August is already full.
