The Lava Bears 9-1 and second to only Jesuit in the Class 6A baseball power rankings. Last year Bend reached the state semifinals of Class 5A baseball. The reigning 6A-state champions are Westview of the Metro League.

Bend has won seven games in a row and outscored their opponents 86-31 on the season.

The Intermountain Conference Champions

Bend, Summit and Mountain View are all in the mix for an Intermountain Conference championship heading into the final week of baseball, with the last league game slated for  Monday, May 15th.

Bend, which sits atop the standings with a 10-3 IMC record, wraps things up with home games against Ridgeview, Summit and Mountain View.

Summit (9-3 IMC) hosts Ridgeview before traveling to Redmond, Bend and Mountain View.

Mountain View (8-4 IMC) hosts Redmond, is at Ridgeview, hosts Summit and then finishes at Bend.

On Wednesday Bend beat Wilsonville 8-1, while Summit downed Crater 4-1.

The No. 2 seed in Class 4A, Sisters was upset in the first round by No. 15 Molalla 10-5.
